WOODBLOCK PRINTMAKING
I am drawn to the inherent limitations of woodblock printmaking. Each mark is irreversible, and each print carries subtle variations that speak to the handcrafted technique and process. These qualities allow the work to retain a sense of presence and immediacy, even as it exists in multiple impressions. I view printmaking not as replication, but as a way of exploring difference within sameness.
My imagery often draws from natural forms, memory, observation and exploration of personal narrative. Simplified shapes and layered textures create images that feel familiar yet unsettled, inviting viewers to slow down and connect with the subject while engaging with the surface of the print.
